Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf pronounced himself ready to play and is expected to make his return on Wednesday in Vancouver.

Getzlaf had been slated to miss at least 4-to-6 weeks after suffering multiple nasal sinus fractures when he took a puck to the forehead during a win over Phoenix on December 28.

Three days later, the rugged winger visited with a maxillofacial surgeon, and had a CT scan which revealed those fractures were non-displaced and stable. A further evaluation determined that the bone breaks remained stable and that surgery was not be required.

After a follow-up CT scan showed that the fractures were healing well, Getzlaf was cleared to skate with the team last week. Still, the club decided to push back his official return date back to the start of their western road trip.

Prior to the setback, the 25-year-old team captain notched 13 goals with 24 assists over 40 games this season, his sixth in the NHL.

Anaheim won 10 of its 14 games without Getzlaf in the lineup.
