Don Cherry is not happy.

The Coach's Corner icon took to Twitter on Tuesday to express his displeasure with a certain Greater Toronto Area auction company after a Mississauga, Ont. property listing falsely bragged about Cherry being a former inhabitant.

“It’s pretty low for an auction house to use my name to sell a house," Cherry said to begin a series of posts sent through his official Twitter account, which has more than 420,000 followers.

"People need to check their facts. I have never lived in the house ... on Mississauga Road," he added. "Liars."

The auction company, Ritchies -- which, according to its website, is “Canada’s Premier Auction House” – stated in a news release that the $8 million Toronto-area mansion was "Don Cherry's former residence."

Among other things, the 10,500 square-foot home has five (plus three) bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a tennis court and a swimming pool.

“It’s ridiculous for anyone to think that I would live in a 10,500 square foot home,” Cherry said to finish his quick online rant.

In a retraction issued Tuesday afternoon, BuzzPR, a public relations firm who spoke on behalf of Ritchies throughout the fiasco, said it “would like to apologize to Mr. Cherry, his family and the media” for the error.

BuzzPR said the current owner had told them Cherry used to live there.
