To little fan fare, the Paul Bissonnette era in the desert has ended.

The newly-renamed Arizona Coyotes have cut ties with the infamous unrestricted free agent enforcer.

After five seasons, Bissonnette – better known as 'Biz Nasty' thanks to an unwavering social media prowess – did not receive a contract extension and is now on the market for an NHL team to snatch up.

The problem? Nobody seems to want the 29-year-old's services.

As it stands now, Bissonnette could very well be headed overseas to play in one of Europe's many pro leagues. In a very limited role, the forward from Welland, Ont. recorded seven goals, 14 assists and 318 penalty minutes in 187 games for the Coyotes.

"It's a very demoralizing process and it's frustrating," Bissonnette told FOX Sports Arizona when asked about his uncertain future.

"Early on, I wasn't getting any talk and I was losing my mind because I've never been through this before, but my agent (Mark Guy) told me that's how it usually goes -- there's usually this lull after the first wave of big dogs sign."

Of course, Bissonnette's role as a fourth-line fighter has always taken second billing to his personal brand, which has been crafted mainly through the Internet on Twitter (@BizNasty2Point0) and Instagram (biznasty). His notoriety as the ultimate hockey bro is directly linked to the content he posts online.

According to CapGeek.com, Bissonnette's more than 550,000 Twitter followers is the most among all active NHLers not named Alex Ovechkin, whose global superstardom has garnered about 813,000 followers.

On the ice, Bissonnette can toss a mean punch and is a highly-regarded teammate. But without his social media presence, the casual fan probably wouldn't know who he is.

So, with Bissonnette's departure from NHL circles becoming more of a possibility every day, we thought there would be no better time than now to look back at 10 of his finest posts:
