O No Canada.

As the NHL schedule heads into the short strokes — the season has just flown by in most cities — a trend for those fans north of the border is rather troubling.

Right now, the Canadian team closest to being a sure-fire playoff squad is the Montreal Canadiens.

Le Bleu Blanc Rouge have their future in their hands and could make their situation more clear in the next week, especially with games against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Buffalo Sabres and the Detroit Red Wings on the horizon.

Right below, you have the suddenly free-falling Maple Leafs still in control of their fate but feeling the heat of teams right behind.

After that, it’s downright ugly for the Canadian content.
