The NHL trade deadline has come and gone and, while the who-won and who-lost pundits have had their say, we’ll look more into the fantasy repercussions, individual whose values went up or down or remained the same. Because of the numbers, I’m going to give only a brief blurb on each of the fantasy-worthy players — either a knee-jerk reaction or a tidbit about future usage. We’ll use the Waiver Watch section to highlight a few players who might even be worth keeping tabs on now as a result of the deals.

Thomas Vanek MON: Tomas Plekanec is no John Tavares, but he’s an upgrade, at the moment, on Cody Hodgson. As the Habs’ new best natural goal-scorer, he’ll get lots of opportunity to shine. Meanwhile, Isles’ Kyle Okposo has now lost both his star linemates.

Roberto Luongo FLA: Friday’s shutout against the now toothless Sabres aside, his GAA will likely take a hit. At least he remains a No. 1 with Tim Thomas subsequently dealt away.
