TORONTO - Rogers unveiled more plans for its long-term deal with the NHL on Tuesday, including further details of its partnership with TVA Sports.

The 12-year agreement will see Rogers airing more than 500 regular-season games in English across seven platforms, while TVA has the French rights for more than 300 games, as well as exclusive coverage of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

“This is more than a milestone,” Pierre Dion, president and CEO, TVA Group, said after a news conference with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, Mark Messier, the Stanley Cup and fellow Rogers, Quebecor and NHL executives at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. “To have a 12-year deal as the official French NHL broadcaster means we will become the No. 1 sports network in Quebec.”
