Colorado Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov was charged with third-degree assault Friday by the Denver District Attorney.

Varlamov will appear in court Dec. 2.

The charge is a result of an alleged domestic dispute involving his girlfriend on Oct. 30. He was released on $5,000 bond and has been allowed to travel with the Avalanche.

Varlamov could get two years in county jail if convicted.
