After the devastating broken leg suffered by high-scoring forward Steven Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lightning this week, there is some good news for anyone keeping an eye on Team Canada’s potential roster for the Olympics in February.

Rick Nash, one of the few guys with a natural goal-scoring ability on a level with Stamkos, said Saturday he expects to return next week from a concussion that has kept him out of the New York Rangers lineup for more than a month.

“Tuesday or Thursday, for sure, as long as there are no setbacks,” said Nash after the Rangers had their morning skate at the Bell Centre in preparation for Saturday night’s meeting with the Montreal Canadiens. “Everything has been positive and pushing it every day.”
