Always a deep pool of quality picks here, enough that you can either stock up on multi-category contributors or simply go for the scoring points and plug in what you need with specialists later on ... This might be the first fantasy season in a while where there really should be no debate over who is No. 1 overall, though Sidney Crosby’s concussion history might convince the odd owner to pass … Toughest call here is Martin St. Louis, who led the league in points during last year’s strike-shortened schedule. He’s showed no signs of slowing down but, at 38, is at an age where he could regress at any time ... Yes, there are several skaters not on here who deserve to be. But with so many forwards and so little space, we didn’t include that seemingly endless list of centres and wingers who will finish with between 45-55 points but won’t help or hurt you in any other category. You’ll have plenty of those to choose from in the later rounds, with one pretty much as good as the next.
