Will all the talk turn to action?

As the NHL's 30 teams descend upon the city that never sleeps for Sunday's entry draft at the Prudential Center in nearby New Jersey, there is plenty of trade chatter as teams try to make changes for next year.

With several teams trying to cut money because the salary cap is dropping to $64.3 million, along with new general managers in places like Edmonton, Colorado, Dallas and, to some extent, Toronto, many are anticipating a lot of action.

"There is so much talk, and so many names, it's hard to believe that everything that is being talked about could actually happen," said a league executive Thursday. "Lots of teams are trying to make changes. No question."
