The goaltending market could heat up this summer.
While all eyes are on the Eastern and Western Conference finals, there is plenty of chatter that matters taking place with as many as 10 teams either trying to shore up their goaltending or thinking about the possibility before free agency on July 5.
League sources say the No. 1 goalie market is wide open with Philadelphia, Florida, Edmonton, Washington, Buffalo, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Calgary, Minnesota and the Islanders trying to decide on a direction to take.
Much of the focus has been what the Canucks will do with Roberto Luongo, but he’s not the only question mark.
