Short NHL season an evaluation nightmare

On one hand, as a Boston Bruins assistant coach pointed out post-game on Saturday night, the typical body clock of an NHL player is just getting through its pre-season phase.

Eight games into the season, the rust should be wearing off and players should be rounding into readiness for the meat of the schedule.

But by another measure, by the time the Leafs finish off the four-game week ahead of them next Saturday in Montreal, the team will be a quarter of the way through this shortened, 48-game schedule.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
