By QMI Agency

Pierre Karl Péladeau has been named one of the most influential individuals in hockey by The Hockey News. (QMI Agency)

Quebecor Inc. president and CEO Pierre Karl Peladeau has some influence in the hockey world.

The advocate for returning the Nordiques to Quebec City made The Hockey News’ list of the 100 most influential people in the sport, finishing No. 33.

The magazine referred to Peladeau in their Jan. 21 issue as a titan in the world of Canadian media and a lover of the game. Peladeau finished one spot ahead of Montreal Canadiens owner Geoff Molson and 19 places ahead of Hall of Fame goaltender Patrick Roy, who placed 52nd.

Quebecor Inc. is one of Canada’s largest media companies and owns the Sun Media chain.

Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
