NHL will have harder time winning fans back after third lockout
By CHRIS STEVENSON, QMI Agency

A lot of NHL fans might not want to come back after three lockouts in 18 years. (MIKE CARLSON/Reuters file photo)

They say lunacy is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result -- kind of like paying Scott Gomez to be a point producer -- so if there’s a better way to describe what just happened with the National Hockey League, I don’t know what it is.

After losing more than half of its original 1,230-game 2012-13 schedule to a tentative deal many envisioned could have been struck last September, is there any reason to think the NHL has learned a lesson after its third lockout?

There’s no way of knowing, not until we see how the fans are going to react after having the game taken away from them for three months.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
