NEW YORK - There was no shortage of drama on Broadway Wednesday with the NHL trying to save the season.

Instead of filing a disclaimer of interest, which had a deadline of 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, the NHL Players’ Association opted to stay at the bargaining table to try and hammer out a labour deal.

All eyes were on the clock in the NHL offices as the deadline approached, waiting to see if the union’s executive committee would file a disclaimer.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
