NHL, NHLPA head back to bargaining table
By BRUCE GARRIOCH, QMI Agency
NEW YORK - The NHL and NHL Players' Association headed back to the bargaining table Monday for the first time in nearly a month. NHLPA officials confirmed they are headed to the NHL's headquarters on Sixth Avenue -- a block away from Times Square -- Monday afternoon around 1 p.m. At that time, NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr is expected to table a counter-offer to the 300-page document he received from the NHL last Thursday. The union was still crafting its response Monday morning and waiting for more players to arrive. |
