If the NHL lockout comes to an end, turning a marathon into a sprint, Taylor Hall will be ready.

The Edmonton Oilers forward is back to his pre-shoulder surgery form, registering his first AHL hat trick Thursday and picking up a pair of assists the following night.

In 22 games with the Oklahoma City Barons, Hall has 12 goals and 17 assists. His 29 points puts him third in team scoring behind partner-in-crime, Jordan Eberle and rookie phenom defenceman Justin Schultz.

"I'm feeling really good out there," said Hall. "There's always a comfort level that takes some time to get to, whether that be with the Oilers or here with the Barons.

"I think I'm getting there and things are going really well for me right now."
