Real Sports sends Leafs' Lupul for a loop
By Lance Hornby, QMI Agency

Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul (QMI Agency/Files)

TORONTO - A few days ago, Joffrey Lupul said he was looking forward to some good meals now that he’s back in Toronto on break from playing in Russia.

But that likely won’t be happening at Maple Leafs’ team-themed restaurant, Real Sports Bar and Grill, at least while the NHL lockout is on.

Lupul found that Real Sports, the popular hangout next to the Air Canada Centre, would not honour his reservation request because of the ongoing bad blood between owners and players. Through his Twitter account @JLupul, the Leafs star expressed his feelings about the policy, complaining the restaurant and adjoining sports store won’t get set aside tables for the Leafs, “but will continue selling our jerseys at $300 a pop”.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
