NHL lockout 'ridiculous': Dennis Hull
Can't believe it's taken so long to make dealBy BRANDON LOGAN, For QMI Agency
WINNIPEG - With talks to end the 90-day-old lockout set to re-start Wednesday, former Chicago Blackhawk great Dennis Hull weighed in on the state of the NHL. Even as a retired player, Hull isn’t picking sides in this battle between the league and players association. Instead, like many fans, he just wants to watch the game that he loves. “I miss watching hockey,” said Hull, during a special appearance Tuesday night in Winnipeg. “I think it’s really ridiculous that it’s taken this long to get a deal done. The players are losing a lot of money. I know they’re millionaires, but the owners are billionaires, and I think the owners can hold out a lot longer than they can. “I think if they can get close to a deal they want, they should take it because they have lost a lot of salary already.” |
