The NHL and NHL Players' Association will be hunkered down Wednesday in an "undisclosed" location trying to get talks for a collective bargaining agreement back on track.

This time, they'll be joined by representatives of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service for the second time in these negotiations. The only hope is they don't go back to war again and emerge further apart.

After the NHL pulled its offer off the table in New York last Thursday, the two sides agreed to meet on Day 88 of the lockout without any owners. Only commissioner Gary Bettman and deputy Bill Daly will represent the league.
