NHL's CBA gathering a real 'meeting of the minds'

WINNIPEG - Hour after hour, they met behind closed doors at a hotel in New York City, the NHL season hanging in the balance.
On one side, a sticks-in-the-middle collection of players, enough for four lines and three sets of defencemen — minus Don Fehr, the head coach everyone loves to hate.
Glaring across the boardroom table, six owners, minus their irascible ringleader, Gary Bettman.
