Minnesota Wild investors can expect to dig into their pockets again later this month.

The 11 limited partners --Craig Leipold is the majority owner -- have been told to expect a cash call in mid-November, this time as a result of the NHL lockout, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. It will be the second such call in the last five months.

The investors kicked in another $10 million in July after the Wild signed a pair of expensive free agents, forward Zach Parise and defenceman Ryan Suter to identical 13-year, $98 million contracts. Both included $10 million signing bonuses that were to be paid despite the lockout.

HAGELIN HURTING

New York Rangers forward Carl Hagelin's shoulder injury could be worse than first thought.

Hagelin, who was injured while playing for Sodertalje in Sweden, was originally diagnosed with a shoulder bruise and was sidelined day-to-day. But according to a report by SportExpressen, Hagelin underwent an MRI on the dinged up shoulder and team officials are concerned the injury is more serious.

Hagelin won't play for Sweden at the Karjala Cup during the Swedish league's international break. He had five goals and six assists in eight games with Sodertalje before being hurt.

BRIEFLY

The Dallas Stars could be wearing new threads next season. According to a blog on the team's official website, Stars officials saw mockups of the potential new uniforms on Monday but the specifics of the changes were deemed "top secret" ... Chicago Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw, who is playing for the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL, picked up a six-game suspension for leaving the bench to start an altercation Nov. 3 against Lake Erie. Rockford's Wade Brookbank (one game) and Dylan Olsen (two games) were also suspended for infractions in the same game ... On the heels of a barnstorming tour across Quebec, Philadelphia Flyers forward Max Talbot has signed with Tampere Ilves of Finland's SM-liiga. Talbot had 19 goals and 15 assists in 81 games with the Flyers last season ... Montreal Canadiens forward Scott Gomez has signed with the Alaska Aces of the ECHL. Gomez, who went to training camp with the Aces but hasn't played, will make his debut next week.
