NHLers should stay home and fight the battle: Ryan
By QMI Agency

Bobby Ryan has reiterated that he was in no mood to go to Europe during the NHL lockout and take the bread and butter away from another player.

But the Anaheim Ducks winger also implied that NHLers who go to Europe are skipping out on their duty to their union and fellow players.

"I'm going to handle things the way I think things should be handled," Ryan, 25, told New Jersey's Courier-Post in a story published Wednesday.

"I'm going to continue to skate with the guys ... whether it's coming back here (to South Jersey) for a couple weeks at a time ... I think it's important to stay here (in the United States) and be part of the solution and not just run from it."
