Goal-scoring machine Pavel Bure and Phil Housley, the highest-scoring U.S.-born defenceman in NHL history, will be inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame along with three others.

The class of 2012 will be honoured May 20 in Helsinki, the final day of the IIHF world championship.

Former NHL coach Andy Murray will be inducted in the builders category. He has coached in the NHL and in Switzerland.

PERRON FINALLY BACK

Forward David Perron will return Saturday to the St. Louis Blues lineup after being sidelined more than one year with a concussion,

Perron hasn't played since taking an elbow to the head from San Jose Sharks forward Joe Thornton on Nov. 4, 2010. He finished the game but has not played since.

The 23-year-old Quebec native missed a total of 97 games.

Perron wasn't cleared for physical activity until September and wasn't allowed to join on-ice activity until late October.

A first-round pick of the Blues in 2007, Perron has 53 goals and 78 assists in 235 NHL games.

Perron said he has practised hard the past month without ill effects.

"It has been a long road, obviously," he said, noting that while he is excited, it is a matter of keeping it simple on the ice.

ANOTHER EX-CAP TO DUCKS

The Anaheim Ducks filled out new coach Bruce Boudreau's staff Friday by hiring a familiar face. Bob Woods, who was fired by the Washington Capitals last Monday along with Boudreau, was hired by the Ducks as an assistant coach. Woods has worked with Boudreau in the NHL and with the AHL Hershey Bears. When Boudreau was hired by the Caps, Woods replaced him in Hershey, and then joined Boudreau in Washington in June 2009.

Boudreau's other assistant is Brad Lauer.

The Ducks also announced the hiring of Joe Piscotty as video co-ordinator.

RAMAGE A KNIGHTS COACH

Rob Ramage was appointed Friday as an assistant coach with he OHL's London Knights.

The former NHLer will run the defence for Mark Hunter, who has added head-coaching duties to his portfolio of Knights general manager. The changes were made in the wake of former coach Dale Hunter's hiring by the Washington Capitals.

Ramage, 52, is a native of London, Ont., and a former star with the Knights.

Four years ago, Ramage was convicted of impaired and dangerous driving in the death of his friend, Keith Magnuson, and sentenced to four years in prison.

He was granted day parole in May and then joined his former junior team as a defensive consultant.

BRIEFLY

"We'll maybe have a little more information (Saturday) about those after the business with the doctor." ... Defenceman Andrei Markov still is not ready to return from surgery on his right knee. Montreal Canadiens coach Jacques Martin confirmed Friday that Markov, who has not played this season, would not be in uniform Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings ...
