NHL notes: Devils take Brodeur off IR

NEWARK, N.J. -- The New Jersey Devils have activated goaltender Martin Brodeur off injured reserve on Monday.
Brodeur, 39, suffered a right shoulder injury against the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 13.
In two games this season, Brodeur is 0-1 with a 3.00 goals-against average. He was 23-26-3 with a 2.45 GAA in 56 games last season.
New Jersey assigned goaltender Keith Kinkaid to Albany of the AHL.
Kronwall inks seven-year extension
DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings agreed to terms with defenceman Niklas Kronwall on a seven-year contract extension on Monday. The 30-year-old Kronwall, who was in the last year of his current five-year deal, has one goal and one assist in nine games this season. For his career, the 29th overall pick of the 2000 draft has 35 goals and 148 assists in 394 games with Detroit.
