Grabner highlights 'Three Stars'
By Sports Network

NEW YORK -- New York Islanders right winger Michael Grabner, Buffalo Sabres right winger Drew Stafford and Phoenix Coyotes goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov have been named the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the week ending Feb. 13.

Grabner was named First Star for leading the league with eight goals and nine points while posting a plus-7 rating. He capped the week by notching his first career hat trick, including the overtime winner, in Sunday's 7-6 victory over Buffalo.

The 23-year-old Austrian now has 24 goals this season, tying him with San Jose's Logan Couture for the lead among NHL rookies. He also is riding a five-game goal streak, which is the longest by an Islanders rookie since Patrick Flatley lit the lamp in six straight games in November 1984.

Taking home the Second Star was Stafford, who tallied a pair of hat tricks, raising his season total to a league-high four. He is the fourth player with at least four hat tricks in one season since 2005-06, joining Jonathan Cheechoo, Thomas Vanek and Eric Staal.

Bryzgalov earned the Third Star after posting a 3-0-0 record with a 1.29 goals-against average and .948 save percentage.
