The Flames followed their 3-2 shootout loss to Chicago at the 'Dome Tuesday with a 2-1 defeat at Columbus Thursday.

The Sabres beat Ottawa 3-2 in Buffalo Wednesday with a powerplay goal in the final four minutes sealing the victory.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Calgary won their last meeting, 4-1 a year ago at the 'Dome, shelling goaltender Martin Biron with 37 shots. The Sabres hold the all-time edge 44-31-16-1 and the Flames haven't won in Buffalo in more than 10 years (March 15, 1996).

WHO'S HOT

FLAMES -- With an assist on the only goal Thursday, LW Kristian Huselius has stretched his point streak to 14 games.

SABRES -- Tomas Vanek scored a pair in Wednesday's win, including the winner.
