DALLAS -- Edmonton Oilers general manager Kevin Lowe believes a solution can be found to the NHL schedule concerns.

All it takes is for those in charge to be on the same page.

"It's just a matter of having people use common sense and a willingness to do what's best for the overall league," Lowe said yesterday.

"That's been some of my frustration over the years. But we seem to be getting better at it.

"There are some good people behind the right agenda and that agenda is what's best for the overall league and not just for your own personal agendas."

Lowe said a proposal to realign divisions is still at the discussion stage, but there's one thing he'd like to see.

"I think everybody hears the fans' requests and concerns and the fact the players have talked a little bit about it," said Lowe.

"... My own personal feeling is that it is important that you play everybody at some point over the course of the season."
