BROSSARD, Que. -- They couldn’t be more different on the ice.

Darnell Nurse one day will patrol the blue line for the Edmonton Oilers, undoubtedly bringing a mix of mobility and skill to a defence corps that could use it.

Max Domi has his sights on a career with the Arizona Coyotes, putting to use offensive talents that have allowed him to be a consistent scoring threat every time he goes over the boards for the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights.

Both are at the Canadian junior team’s summer camp with the same goal: To succesfully start the months-long process toward earning a spot on the team after they were left off the selection camp roster last winter.

Coach Benoit Groulx has no time for sour attitudes. He’s getting the opposite from Domi and Nurse, who both attended the summer camp in Lake Placid in 2013 before the harsh slap that came with exclusion from the camp that mattered most.
