UFA, RUSSIA - Jordan Binnington will start for Canada in goal against Russia in the bronze-medal game at the 2013 world junior championship. Binnington, a St. Louis Blues prospect who plays for the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League, came on in relief of Malcolm Subban in the semifinal against the United States on Thursday and stopped 25 of 26 shots he faced in a 5-1 loss. Hockey Canada announced on its Twitter account that Binnington would start. Subban had started all five of Canada's previous games and won four in the preliminary round. |
