UFA, RUSSIA - A power failure slowed the Americans down for a few minutes Thursday night.

That’s about all that has derailed them as they roared into the gold medal final against Sweden Saturday, scoring 12 goals in their two medal-round games.

Team U.S., coming off their 5-1 semifinal domination of Canada, was watching the Russia-Sweden semifinal. Just when the game was about to go to a shootout, the power at their hotel went out.

“It was like a horror movie,” said American defenceman Connor Murphy.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
