UFA, RUSSIA - Jacob Trouba has no idea when, or if, he will one day become a Winnipeg Jet.

But the United States defenceman, drafted ninth overall by the Jets in 2012 (and one of eight defencemen selected in the top 10) will be well on his way to the NHL if keeps playing the way he has been at the 2013 world junior championship.

Trouba has been a force at both ends of the ice for the Americans, scoring four goals and recording four assists through their first five games. Defensively, he has been sound.
