UFA, RUSSIA - Finally, Boone Jenner will get to do what he was hired for.
That’s bang some bodies, score a goal or two and be defensively responsible.
With Canada’s game against the United States Sunday, Jenner’s three-game suspension at the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship ends, and the 19-year-old forward will make his tournament debut New Year’s Eve against Russia.
“I can’t wait to get back out there,” said Jenner, a second-round pick by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2011 and a member of the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. “It has been pretty tough. (Watching) is not what you want to be doing.
