It can be easy to get swept away by the moment.

Before the gold medals had even been placed around the necks of the 22 players who wore the maple leaf for Team Canada in the 2005 World Junior Hockey Championship, members of the media were already declaring the group the best team to hit the ice in the history of the event.

As it turns out, even with the benefit of hindsight, the bold proposition doesn’t appear to be a gross exaggeration, but rather an accurate assessment.
