CALGARY - Turns out, the feel-good story of Canada's world junior hockey squad already has a bit of international competition on his resume.

Behind a boat.

One year before earning a spot with the Western Hockey League's Kamloops Blazers (another longshot story), Team Canada winger JC Lipon made a splash with a national wakeboard title and scored a trip to the world championships in Reno, Nev.

“Wakeboarding was fun, but it was kind of just a summer thing,” Lipon shrugged Friday, after posing for a photo with the team nobody thought he could make.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
