Oilers give Nugent-Hopkins' captaincy their blessing

CALGARY - Phillip Danault skated onto the ice for Friday's team photo with a 'C' taped to his chest.

Good try, kid.

The 'C' on Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' No. 9 uniform is actually stitched on — and it'll be there for the entire world junior tournament, unless the NHL lockout ends and the 19-year-old, future superstar is required at Rexall Place.

Are you surprised Don Cherry backed Daniel Alfredsson's comments?
  Yes.
  No.
It's Don Cherry - who knows what he will say.
