The Windsor Spitfires may be out of the OHL playoffs but Josh Ho-Sang is still feeling the after effects from his own hit.
The 18-year-old right winger received a 15-game suspension for shoving London Knights’ defenceman Zach Bell into the boards, causing Bell to break his right fibula, in the first round playoff series.
On top of the massive ban, the potential first-round pick in this year’s NHL Draft will be left off Team Canada’s roster for the U-18 world championship.
It was in the same playoff series that Knights’ goalie Anthony Stolarz hit Ho-Sang in the head with his stick.
Stolarz received an eight-game suspension for his slash to the head.
Meanwhile, Ho-Sang’s suspension will take effect at the start of the 2014-15 season.
