LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - A few final notes after four days of camping with 33 Canadian world junior hopefuls in the Adirondacks:

Hockey Canada's hiring -- or in this case, re-hiring -- of Brent Sutter as head coach was something that simply had to be done to get Canada back to the medal podium at the world junior tournament.

As much information as the 51-year-old was able to collect on the players in three exhibition games, they now know that if they make Sutter's team in December, they'll be playing for a no-nonsense coach who commands respect the minute he walks into a room.
