By AEDEN HELMER, QMI Agency
OTTAWA - Gatineau Olympiques co-captain Yannick Dube is recovering in hospital after undergoing treatment for a pulmonary embolism Saturday, team officials said Monday. He is in stable condition in the intensive care unit at the Sacre-Couer Hospital in Hull. A pulmonary embolism occurs when a blockage travels through the bloodstream to one of the main arteries of the lung, and symptoms include difficulty breathing, chest pains and palpitations. If untreated, it is potentially fatal. |
