Halmo has hearing on hit
By BILL WALKER, QMI Agency

OWEN SOUND, ONT. - Owen Sound Attack captain Mike Halmo had a conference call with Ontario Hockey League officials on Thursday afternoon to discuss his hit on Sarnia sniper Nail Yakupov.

But Thursday night there were still no details on how long the overager will be suspended.

Halmo is currently suspended indefinitely following the hit on Saturday that left Yakupov with cuts to his mouth.

Sting officials have not yet said if the Russian will play this weekend.

There have been no details on whether Owen Sound winger Daniel Zweep will be suspended for his check from behind on Plymouth's Nick Malysa on Sunday.

The Attack wrap up the regular season with a home-and-home series with the Guelph Storm.

Owen Sound visits the Storm tonight while Guelph visits on Saturday.
