Wheaties thump Tigers

The Brandon Wheat Kings kicked off the WHL playoffs in style on Friday night, thumping the host Medicine Hat Tigers 7-2 in Game 1 of their best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final. Game 2 was ongoing at press time on Saturday night.
Game 3 will be played Monday night at MTS Centre. Brandon’s Keystone Centre is unavailable due to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair.
