Hitmen can't hang with Rebels
By QMI Agency

The Calgary Hitmen kept it close against one of the Western Hockey League’s top teams.

Unfortunately, close doesn’t count in the standings.

Despite a stellar effort from Hitmen netminder Michael Snider, the Red Deer Rebels scratched out a 4-1 victory Friday over the Hitmen at the Enmax Centrium.

Brooks Macek scored for Calgary (16-35-4), but Byron Froese tallied twice in the final frame and Alex Petrovic and Brett Ferguson also lit the lamp for Red Deer (38-14-5).

Snider stopped 32 shots in a losing cause.

The Hitmen host the Prince George Cougars Saturday (7 p.m., Dome, fan960.com).

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
