Hitmen shelled in Red Deer
By QMI Agency

Apparently, the lesson was not learned.

One night after spoiling a brilliant first period against the Brandon Wheat Kings with a sub-par final 40 minutes, the Calgary Hitmen did the exact same thing in Red Deer.

The Hitmen grabbed a 2-0 first-period lead thanks to goals from Ben Wilson and John Lawrence.

But after outshooting the hosts 10-6, the Calgary Hitmen were shelled 37-11 over the final two frames in a 5-3 loss.

Cody Sylvester also scored for the Hitmen (15-32-3), who host the P.A. Raiders at the Dome Sunday (5 p.m., Fan 960).

Byron Froese had a hat-trick for the Rebels.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
