Sagueneens co-owner laid to rest
By SOPHIE GAUTHIER, QMI Agency

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — The popular owner of a Quebec junior hockey team was laid to rest Thursday.

Hundreds packed a church in Chicoutimi, Que., about 200 kilometres north of Quebec City, to pay their final respects to Gervais Munger and remember his big heart and love of life. He died in a boating accident last weekend.

Munger, 52, was a co-owner of the Sagueneens de Chicoutimi team.

During the funeral, former NHL player and Sagueneens manager Guy Carbonneau came forward to bid farewell to Munger, whom he had known for decades.

Carbonneau spoke of the time they had spent together at training camp.

“The only thing I forgot to tell you is that I loved you,” he said, gesturing toward Munger’s coffin. “I hope you know.”

Munger leaves behind a wife, Joan, and three daughters.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
