Not too familiar

The trio of former Vancouver Giants played in Rexall Place just three days before donning Edmonton Oil Kings' colours.

Fresh as it is, that's about the extent of Edmonton head coach Steve Pleau's knowledge of his newest forwards, who will suit up tomorrow morning against the Kootenay Ice.

"Yeah, a couple of games ago ... and a couple of games," Pleau said yesterday, referring to the two games a year whenEdmonton and Vancouver hook up on the WHL schedule.

"So it's pretty limited. But I've talked to Greener (GM Bob Green) and Hanschie (head scout Randy Hansch) about where they will fit and how we'll use them.

"Certainly the two, Nunn and Piluso, will fit into our top six to start off and we'll see how that goes."

Here's their scouting reports, in their own words:

Garry Nunn

Age 20, plays right wing, shoots right, will wear No. 12. Five-foot-nine, 175 pounds. Born in Victoria, B.C.

"I think I'm an offensive-type player. I use my speed to get chances and I think of myself as a good playmaker and a goal scorer, too. So, hopefully, I'll be able to do that with the Oil Kings."

Mike Piluso

Age 19, centre, shoots left, will wear No. 29. Five-foot-10, 183 pounds. Born in Maple Ridge, B.C.

"I'm a smaller, quicker player, a speedy player. I have some offensive skill that didn't get used that way in Vancouver. Hopefully, I can have a bigger role here and I can prove myself as a goal-scorer."

Sebastien Svendsen

Age 18, centre, shoots left, will wear No. 25. Five-foot-8, 186 pounds. Born in Hvidvore, Denmark

"I like to use my speed. A lot of offensive skill -- although I couldn't use that in Vancouver.

"I hope I can use that here."
