Majors have blast in second period

The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors scored four unanswered goals as part of a 26-shot second period last night en route to a 5-1 win over the Wolves in Ontario Hockey League action at Sudbury.

It was the seventh win in eight games for the Eastern Conference leaders (19-4-2) and their third in as many games over the Wolves.

Rob Flick, with a pair of goals, Kelly Geoffrey, Joseph Cramarossa and Cameron Gaunce scored for St. Mike's.

Kyle Tarini had the lone Sudbury goal.

At St. Catharines, Zack Kassian and Jamie Doornbosch rallied the Petes with third-period goals.

BULLS 3, WHALERS 1

At Belleville, defenceman Shawn Lalonde's power-play goal in the second period stood up as the winner as the Bulls handed Plymouth its fourth loss in five games.

GREYHOUNDS 2, STING 0

At Sarnia, Swedish rookie goalkeeper Robin Lehner made 22 saves for his second OHL shutout.
