Steven Sanford knew he might be on the move.

But the 19-year-old goaltender was surprised where he ended up.

"Especially seeing as it's such a rival to P.A.," the Calgary product told the Prince Albert Herald after being traded by the Raiders to the Saskatoon Blades.

"It was tough to say goodbye to some of the guys that you've known for so long, but at the end of the day, hockey is a business and that's what happens."

Defencemen Brendon Wall and Tyler Yaworski joined the Raiders in the trade.

GRBAVAC IN LIMBO

The Kamloops Blazers were unable to deal Calgary product Cole Grbavac and have designated the sophomore forward for assignment. The 18-year-old is rumoured to be joining an AJHL club. He played three games for the Calgary Canucks in 2007-08 before joining the Blazers (seven points in 73 games over two seasons).
