After opening the playoffs with three consecutive series sweeps, the Hitmen have lost three straight games in regulation time for the first time since Dec. 8-12, 2007.

The Rockets, who swept the Kamloops Blazers before beating the Tri-City Americans and Vancouver Giants (both in six games) have won six straight overall and have outscored the Hitmen 10-3 in the series.

HEAD TO HEAD

The Rockets have won four straight against the Hitmen, dating back to the regular-season home finale. This is the first time the Hitmen and Rockets have met in the WHL playoffs.

WHO'S HOT

HITMEN -- G Martin Jones had his best outing of the final in Game 3, turning aside 22 of 23 shots.

ROCKETS -- Coming off a 21-save shutout, G Mark Guggenberger has a .962 save percentage in the WHL Championship.

POWERPLAY -- Calgary 20.8% (15-72, 9th); Kelowna 22.3% (21-94, 7th).

The last time the Hitmen dropped four straight games in regulation time was Feb. 18-25, 2004 ... The Hitmen were outshot 24-21 in Game 3. It was the first time in the playoffs Calgary trailed on the shot clock ... The Hitmen played with the lead for 400:30 (55%) through the first three rounds of the playoffs.
