After opening the playoffs with a WHL record-tying 12 straight victories, the Hitmen lost back-to-back games on home ice. It's the first time all season they've lost consecutive games in regulation time.

The Rockets, who swept the Kamloops Blazers before beating the Tri-City Americans and the Vancouver Giants (both in six games), have won five straight.

HEAD TO HEAD

This is the first time the Hitmen and Rockets have met in the WHL playoffs. The teams split the regular-season series, with both games being played at the Dome.
