The Hitmen (11 consecutive wins) and Wheat Kings (10 Ws in a row) are the hottest teams in the Western Hockey League.

The Hitmen swept past the Edmonton Oil Kings and Lethbridge Hurricanes en route to the conference final, while the Wheaties brought out the brooms against the Kootenay Ice and Medicine Hat Tigers.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Hitmen won the season series 3-0-1 and outscored the Wheat Kings 16-11. Brandon's lone win, a 7-6 OT triumph, came Jan. 31 at the Dome.

This is the fourth time the teams have met in the playoffs. The Wheaties beat the Hitmen in five games (1998) and seven games (2005), while Calgary took the last matchup in six games (2007).
